Broadway Country House was built nearly 300 years ago on the cusp of Pembrokeshire & Carmarthenshire. The hotel was bought from a retiring couple in 2007. The family who bought it, including Brian & Debbie the owners, as well as Sian, Richard & Chris have taken the business from strength to strength since taking over.
Set in Dylan Thomas’ former hometown of
Laugharne , the hotel boasts spectacular views of Carmarthen Bay & is set in 7 acres of woodland. Since taking over, the family have refurbished the premises, taking it from a pub & restaurant to a spectacular restaurant, hotel & wedding venue.
The family have achieved success in developing the wedding element of their business, taking the bookings from 12 weddings in their first year to 30 booked for this year already. They also plan to run wedding fayres in the not too distant future.
Chris told us that Castell Howell have been tremendously helpful in helping them develop the business. "Jean, our sales manager, & Sharon our telesales representative, have been very helpful" Chris said. "They have a great deal of product knowledge and help us get the right products for our customers".
